It really depends on if you want a smaller and easier to use phone (iPhone) or a bigger phone that is a little harder to use (Droid X). Or you can just wait until Verizon releases they're new 4G LTE phones.

iPhone doesn't have Swype, or Google Voice. Droid users can talk to their phone to text, navigate, call someone, or whatever they want by talking and the phone will do it. We also have 3D maps.

Hardware:
Droid X has a bigger screen. Resolution changes when a new update comes out to 720p [ HD ] . iPhone has less than 720p.
Droid X has a gorilla screen. A screen that takes a knife for steaks to scratch it. Look up Gorilla Screen on youtube. iPhone breaks easily. You drop it. It's gone. You put a cover on it, it might break.
Droid X has a better CPU, more storage, and both have the same ram. Also, longer life battery. If you root, you get at least 3 extra hours.

My friends own iPhones, and they all think my Droid X shits on their iPhone. In fact, look at this:

If you can wait, wait like 4-5 months, and get the Droid Bionic. That phone will be better than any phone out there guaranteed.

i actually have an android and know people with the Droid X

truth is tho that the iphone 4 is better than all android phones.. smaller tho, but apple just has more experience with these types of phones so of course they will be a little better than the androids.

i say that any android beats any iphone lower than 3gs though but iphone 4 wins because of speed and graphic quality all around.. although the two way camera is really a waste of money i think. none of my friends who own the iphone 4 ever use it.

androids do look waaayyy cooler tho lol.

Both are great cell phones. The only diference between the two cell phones Droid X and Droid 2 are the following

1) Dorid X does not have a slideout keyboard but uses a onscreen keyboard. Droid 2 does have a keyboard.
2) Droid 2 is a worldwide cell phone. It uses CDMA network (Verizon) and also can be used in international countries on GSM network. So if you travel international frequently than the Droid 2 is for you.
